Nick Barker left Dimmu Borgir
As you all have heard, Nicholas Barker from Dimmu Borgir has left the band. If any of you are still speculating why he left, then here's something to tell you, and straight what I've heard from Nick himself in 2002 in Austin, Texas at The Backroom... Because they were confirmed to play in the Ozzfest of 2003, but they didn't and Cradle of Filth filled in. The reason why for that is because Nick Barker did not want to play in Ozzfest, since this year they are, he finally decided to leave the band.... He obviously hates the fact of playing in a mainstream scene instead of a underground black metal scene. If I was him I would feel the same. That is all...

Well the rumors are well and truly out, please find following a statement from Dimmu Borgir, please make people aware that the statement says it all and they will answer all questions regarding this with refer to statement.
We are busy confirming various tours for the forthcoming period and the band will carry on with the promoting of the new album
And now for the statement.
"Nicholas has been removed from the line up of Dimmu Borgir. A session drummer will be used in the future. Don't waste your time speculating why, we have already moved on. See you on the road very soon! - The boyz".

Fired or quit, i think it was a good thing, for nick anyway. To me, dimmu has changed for the worse. I got the new album and after about three songs i decided that the guitars were now boring and that the keyboards now sound like a cheesy star trek symphony. The cd was stolen from me not long after i bought it and it didnt bother me in the least. But this in no way what-so-ever goes to say that i dont respect and love all the other albums. I think Enthrone darkness triuphant is their best work and one of my favorite cds of all time.
Deicidel- you are from san marcos! i love that place and visit every summer. Well, i visit wimberley anyway.

i was saying maybe hes showing that the devil IS god, by having the name of the devil and having the symbol of god, its like a dio shirt i have, that has a huge satan like figure on it, and Dio means god in italian, and my mom couldnt understand why a shirt would have the name of god and a picture of a devil....
or maybe he just likes the anne rice book and likes avatars that spin

Memnoch is a character in a book i read years ago, and i liked the name. In the book, the Devil, Satan, whoever....is also called Memnoch.....hence my name, and the title of the book "Memnoch the Devil".

haha its kinda confusing the stuff of devil is god but now i think i understood, but i dont think he have that avatar with that meaning. If i had The Devil in the title in a forum with a lot of satanic people i wouldn't have that avatar... anyway i hope he comes and explain what does he means with that....
