I didn't download it, but by the name I am assuming its the video of Jason Becker when he was 16. Great video.
There is better work of his though. I've gota video or Jason at 18 live and he shreds with one hand and plays with a yo-yo in the other. Then he plays the sweeps in Seranna which is fucking beautiful. If anyone wants it, I can send it. I've also got a video of him at some interview where he sweeps out Seranna.

I was mostly impressed by that tapping one...that is some real innovation there. I can't even imagine how long that must have took on the 2 neck guitar. Hahaaha his face looks like hes taking a painful shit.
The second one was good; the ending sweep run he did was flawless.
Metal=life: I have the video where Jason fucks up on the part before the sweeps..but be plays if off cool. Go on line ya fag and IM me.

And that video was from '98.
EDIT: Undying_Hatred, his name is Marshall Harrison. What he is playing is a Wieniawski Paraphrase.

waking an old thread up but if any of you want to try to play that Wieniawski song, i've finished transcribing it to guitar a while ago and posted the tab on mysongbook.com:
http://www.mysongbook.com/tab-tab_l...artist=7346.htm
i just submitted a new correction for it with better fingering, which will be downloadable from http://www.mysongbook.com/upfiles/40568.gp4 until the validators accept it
(im also working on the third etude-caprice from the same opus by Wieniawski which should be done soon, it's even harder to play )

Don't worry, the guys in those links are truly, truly the cream of the crop. I'd say about 1 guitarist per million (maybe per 10 million) can just about come close to that Francesco Fareri guy.

I don't think they've ever left their rooms - I mean, look at that Fareri guy, he appears to have been kept in that room since he was a small child, haha!
Nah, I suppose it comes to some people naturally (as well as all the hours of hard work, of course). It's these naturally gifted fellows who are able to take playing to the next level.

I have them all rounded up and put in a special prison so i don't have to be shamed by them, so that i could pretend that i was a good guitarist, lol

You'll love Jason Becker. He can shred with the best of them but he has a whole lot of feeling in his songs. Try Seranna - it's awesome.

That is rediculous, Im learning it right now, although at 50% speed, i should have it down in a month. Its not that hard to figure out how to play it once you have picking control down, it took me a while to get picking control down.

Many of these peopel arent gifted, their determined. When paul gilbert first started to play he was HORRIBLE. He would down pick everything, making the simplest songs extremely difficult for him. 3 years later he started to take lessons, he had a rought teacher who got very dissapointed when he didnt practice, so he did... nonstop.
Practice, Practice, Practice.....

That's my problem. Other aspects of my life are suffering because of my guitar practicing. On the other hand, I get plenty of stress relief that have been built up from those other aspects when I play guitar. I also build up plenty of frustration when I can't do something smoothly (like sweep picking) when I've been practicing it for awhile.
Practice, practice, practice??? It's gotta be efficient and quality practicing to get you anywhere. Anyone can be good at what they do but are you good at what you don't do?

Exactly, MAKE TIME.
Dont give me bullshit about "Ohhh i cant practice blah blah blah"
Stop watching the next big reality tv show and fucking play guitar, if you dont have time to practice, or arent willing to make time then just quit.

Hi everyone... i'm dying to see the video of this girl playing paganini, but the link doesn't seem to work anymore. Is it on any other site? I tried searching in google but they all point to the original one.
