Dunlop Big Stubby 2.0 and 3.0
Dunlop nylon 1.0
I like heavy picks. i can get a really fast palm mute going with any pick, so the heavy ones have the deepest sound for me. Dunlop dont break; and if they do, you are gay or something . Its a good pick. Thats my reason.

ive found the same thing as m=l.. i used tortex for a while.. can't remember the size, but like 1.10 or 1.20ish.. the blue and green kinds, but then a friend of mine introduced me to the jazz picks. now, i have no idea how i used to hold such a huge pick, because it feels so unnecessary and fumbly.
i still like a good 1.10 or higher thickness, because anything real flimsy is weak and won't give you as much control when you start to play quick and need consistency. but try out the tiny jazz picks im sure youll like them.

Or you can grab a handful of whatever picks you want in one hand and then grab 4 picks in the other hand and put the hand that has the most picks in your pocket and grab your money when you drop the picks in there. Then just buy 4. Thats the cheapest way I've found so far.

Id have to agree with metal=life. I hate buying a handfull of picks, then realizing that they all suck. dunlop and Pos-a-pick are the best i've found so far. That and Brain.

i use dunlop acrylic .88, there pretty good for playing metal as they have good grip and u can shred easily on them but they aint to good for pick slides, which sucks so i prob get some heavier ones

the only difference i see, as long as picks are hard, are that the jazz picks are nice and small, and really do help speed. they let your fingers not have to worry about much at all, and they're much more free. i'd recommend that everybody tries them for a week.. they're awesome.

Yeah they take a little time to get used to. Maybe a good half hour or so. Last night I bought every Jazz III in the guitar shop. All the black ones and all the red ones. I don't think I could live without these now. The big picks just slow you down and really limit your abilities. You'll understand when you try them if you don't get how they could be so great.
