rate my guitar playing
I finally got something recorded and hosted. This is a 30 second section of a 5-10 minute solo I made up. It combines the style of van halen, metallica, lynyrd skynyrd and my own style. My guitar is tuned down two full steps. Equipment used is: Hamer Standard guitar, line 6 flextone amp with boss me-30 pedal. I had to choose parts that I thought fit together since I had to choose only certain parts to play in my 30 second time limit on my digital camera.

It sounds much better in person. My digital camera wasn't designed for this kind of thing. Anyway, it's too bad I couldn't record the whole solo, which can get over 10 minutes if I get carried away. Maybe I'll have time to record more later.

Man, I get real sweaty after I wack my dong. Yeah, cause I headbang while I do, and I can't really "Jump" (haha ) like VanHalen in a dorm room, so I just walk back and forth....haha a couple days ago I was jumping up and down on my bed, with my pants down and my roommate came in when I wasn't looking, hahaha.

It should still be up, but not for long. Soon, I'll have to send it to anyone who wants it through AIM or something. By the way, it was an .avi file that works in WMP 9 (maybe some other players too), if you had trouble with it. It should download automatically when you click the link. |

i appreciate a good solo and the work gone into writting it....but they bore me after awhile....
and i dont listen to many bands that play those long ass solos that wanna make you change traxx...so its all good. |

me too, a band that can mix solos in with the song really good like Children of Bodom never bore me. But there are sum bands that make solos seems forced... that i dont really like as much.

I watched your video. I think that would be good to show off to people who have no idea about music. It was fairly fast and made you look skilled. There was, however, no melody at all. You only played in the E minor pentatonic scale and it sounded boring as shit. No offence, but that wasn't music. Im sure you didn't really mean it to be either in which case don't worry, just show people who think playing guitar is cool and they will treat you like a God.
