I think im going to start my 12 minute epic. I want to write a long, floyd-ish type song... but hard as fuck. But not boring like some opeth. Dont get me wrong, i havent heard an opeth song i dont like... but wreath is 13 minutes, for christ sake.

For demo purposes, it should be fine, Tascam is a good brand. The best home studio I ever had was a Tascam 4 track analog recorder. It was able to get a great sound.

Is the 4 track able to get Vocals, 2 guitar, bass and drum in more than 1 track? I dont know much about this shit, so i figured i'd have to use the 8 track. But just for demo purposes...

Yes it is, but the 8 track will be easier to use. However, The Beatles only ever used 4 track studios (it was the only technology that was available at the time), and they were able to layer many different instruments. This conversation should probably be going on in gear talk.
