Well, I'm just learning, and I'm going out to buy a metronome tomorow, and I want to do it single foot (not "cheat blast" but proper blasts with one foot) someday, so yeah. Learnies learnies for me. It always worries me that my playing might not be even, it's not necesarilly about speed, people forget about the control and endurance involved.

I don't know how fast by BPM, but I play along with songs. It also usually depends on my day.
On good days, I can play pretty well along with Dimmu Borgir.
On bad days, the best I can do is play along with In Flames.

Fuck you, no one wants to go to work to find a link for you while your fat ass sits in the chair and waits. Even if someone knows where to find the video, they fucking found it themselves or got it from someone who found it themselve and so on....ya, i saw the video a few weeks ago but i forgot where it was. It sounds like shit though because the guy is playing so fast it looks like and sounds like nothing. Anyways, i used my metronome yesterday to see how fast i was. I played 16th notes at 160 without any problems but i didnt try any higher. I guess thats an alright speed for only playing a double pedal for a year and a half. And actually, i could only play about 130 or so last august so i progressed alot since then. It sucks knowing that Pete Sandoval can play over double that speed though.

I can play every Morbid Angel song without problems double timed...so Pete have to be bad.
I play for 3 years.
And I have the biggest dick in the world.
And My drumset is so fucking huge that i have to use a office chair with wheels because I have to roll to the last 6 toms.
And I dont think that a metronome would be necessary for me, im good enough although.
Btw. my whole band pushes about 260bps...so you all must be loosers.
Any question about my ultimate perfectly drumtechique?

for anyone who is in here because they are curious about double bass. one word, practice!!! I suck ass at double bass (and its very sad because i just joined a hardcore band) and its because i never touched a double pedal in my 10 years of playing.. The one reason the fastest double bass in the world doesn't impress a lot of us drummers is because its something that isnt talent, just hard work! Practice everyday doing not only singles, but paradiddles (rLrrLrLL) and broken up double bass and you'll get even faster.. It also helps to buy a very good pedal so that over time you won't be faster than your pedal. Pearl Eliminators, Tama Iron Cobra, Dw 5000 or Axis would be the best choices IMO..
and for the record, berzerker > all

Yeah and thats my "problem".
I play 2 Cobra juniors and at home a sonor "starter"-DP.
It´s okay, and on good days I play something about 220...but not really clearly...but I´m too poor to buy me a new pedal.
But I´m working on it, I hate it to stuck at 170(different technique but tight).
As outonbail said, I´m not really impressed if somebody can play 300bps.except he could do something like music with that. (Hellhammer!!! and I really wait for the new Nile album with kollias!!)
So I dont give a shit about WFD or stuff like that, because its boring.
(I do respect those drummers, because they work hard for that, and I only can dream about those speeds)

If you do get new pedals, you will gain alot more speed. I used to have the iron cobra juniors and when i got my iron cobras, i was playing alot faster easier. I think its because of all the adjustments you can make on it to make it suit you.

tim plays double strokes...!!!
pete and hellhammer not.
And what the hell do I get if I can play faster than anybody else if it sounds like shit?
Pete is really really tight on his instrument, I´m shure he could push more than 300bps...but is it necessary when Morbid Angel songs are only 235bps fast?
I dont really understand this "hes faster, hes faster" "discussion".
I´m fascinated about carter beauford...just for being a real good drummer...but is he fast?
