Dimmu Borgir tone... how?

Hi all, I signed up here because of all people I bet you guys (and gals perhaps) would know.

Mainly I was listening to the new Dimmu Borgir album and was blown away by the guitar tone in the song "Burn in Hell" and I want to try to get that tone, it's soooo awesome... but I can't seem to find anything on what they use for amps, I found that they use Marshall power amps, but that's it!

Can anyone give me some advice? It doesn't have to be exact, but SOME way to get that tone would be very awesome.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I should add that the Marshall power amp is a Marshall 9200... that's the best I can find...

You can't use a power amp without a pre-amp right?

i've managed to get dimmu borgir sound by turning the distortion nearly all the way up, setting the EQ so that it has treble maxed, mid down and bass a little bit up, probably 3 or 4. i then put the noise gate allthe way up, and i added a compressor with a lot of attack. then a nice chorus to boot and reverb for the hell of it... keep in mind though, i use active EMG 85's so i dunno what to do with passives or EMG 81's. just fuck with the eq and be sure to keep the treble all the way up and the mid down.

good luck dude.... oh yeah.. i also use a boss me 30 for all the effects( as if i can afford the analog pedals????)

tell me how things go.

Well, apparently they use a digitech guitar processor and a boss guitar processor in front of a Marshall 9200 power amp...

I was already going to get a digitech processor... so I may as well go the extra mile and get a Marshall 9200 power amp too.

My other question would be, the 9200 has a gain setting, do you think they use it? Or do you think they just keep the settings from their processors exactly?

So do you think the majority of the meat in their tone comes from the 9200?
