Question guitar pickups for low tuning

There might be a subject about this allready but I haven't seen it.

So it comes that I 've earned enough money to spend on my guitar renewal.
I'de like to change the pickups
thing is that I play in B tuning on a 6 strings and I don't know what to choose

I'de like a warm sound for the clean tone
& I'de like to avoid the buzzsaw sound when I play with distortion;
to have a "clear" distortion sound

Any advice is more than welcome.
thx in advance.

well, did you try some pickups yet or heard some guitars with the sound you're looking for?

there are heaps of pickup brands, so its kinda hard to tell what you need.

For B tuning you'll need a pickup with a good distortion though, or it'll sound like shite.

if you're always tuned to B, get a 7 string or a baritone guitar pickup.

I fear that the 7 strings pickups will be too large for my 6 strings.

And to answer Def i haven't much time
so I haven't tryed some.

But if you have good sites withs pickups descriptions
they're welcome.

Well yeah the 7 string pickups won't work out, obviously because they need a diffrent size of mounting hole and it would be configured with 7 pickup points.

Anyways, you can check out www.seymourduncan.com and www.emgpickups.com for some info on their pickups, the s-d site is nice.

been thinking about what kinda pickups you want? actives, passives? high output?

Like most people said, EMG's do a really good job at low frequencies, but if you don't want to go active, you could get one of the more extreme passive seymour duncan pickups.
