Forget the fuckin' cassettes, why the fuck do people still use vinyl?? If you grew up listening to it and your fondest memories of a certain song are from that period I can understand preferring that to CD versions because it'll pique your nostalgia in a stronger way, but people younger than me are buying this shit. Fuckin' assholes. Buying vinyl doesn't make you cool and eclectic, it makes you a wretched fucking piece of anal shit-turds. FUCK EVERYONE.
Theory: do you think that our tendency to "scratch 'n' sniff" isn't just a gross thing we do but actually served an evolutionary purpose at some point in our history? For instance, if you scratch your ass, balls or pussy and then smell your fingers could that tell you something about your general state of health, like your finger is some sort of medical dipstick? If it smelled a certain way maybe it prompted our ape-ancestors to go rub banana skins on their cocks or something similar in order to counteract an infection or something or other...

No, Vinyl I can understand. It doesn't sound as clean as CDs, but it does have a very cool warm, slightly-raw sound that I think works great for certain genres, especially jazz. Black Metal sound great, too, though I think most extreme metal gets a bit muddled. There is also the benefit of having the extra-large artwork.

Not to mention I've heard the shelf life of a cd is about 30 years. I've got records over 3 times that old that still play.
Paddy, do that banana thing. I heard it cures gynasyphillidia. Maybe rub some on your head, too.
Oh yeah. I probably have over 100 cassettes, too. Some are from high school choir and before.

Two things:
1. Drape a towel over your speakers.
2. Buy a fuckin' poster.
Digital technology can recreate that shit if you like it, ya Luddite, philistine muthafucka. Digital technology also has the added bonus of not requiring a giant antique box from the past, ordered from YeOldAmazon.comme, delivered by the ghost of Bobbi's 13-year-old self, ya fuckin' rat fuck.

You'll be a dead bitch before either expires. The reason vinyl lasts longer is because it's made out of a fucking invincible plastic-like material called vinyl. You may as well argue that cave walls are better suited for artwork than canvas. Cave paintings are even older than you and they're somehow even less worn than you. Should we all abandon the practice of painting on canvas and use slabs of rock in an underground hole instead? SHOULD WE? GO BACK TO PROTESTANTANIA!

You may be onto something there, actually. Banana skins are a good makeshift boot polisher, and my head is almost always coarse and matted-looking. Maybe if I rub it with a banana skin it'll come up a bright, glistening purple just like God intended. I hear if you buff it up just right it squeaks when you titty-fuck a fat lass.

Could you be dears and check out my post in the Bands forum of Downcore? I'd appreciate it. There's several other bands I may post there, but I won't hog it up.

But see, here's a funny thing. In my case it's not a resurgence, 'cause I've used cassettes all my life; in large part due to the fact that both of my cars has/had a deck for it, but no CD player.
As for vinyl, same thing there. There's a nice quality to the sound, but mostly I just happen to have been able to acquire lots of good stuff on vinyl. And, I've managed to hang onto my vinyl player.

I'm disappointed in all of you except Paddy. Fuckin' hipsters.
I have Master of Puppets on tape, because my car is ghetto and only has a tape player. If I was a better person I would have put a CD player in my car, the tape player is such a pain in the ass. Especially while driving.

Steve has tons of tapes and I don't really think he's a hipster. Try telling him that, lol. Not really sure why hipsters like tapes, I thought they liked oversized music like vinyl? As for tapes vs. CD's makes absolutely no fuckin difference to me at all, I didn't think anyone actually used any of them any more. I thought it was just to take up the empty space on your bookshelf. Like bookends.

To visit Malta within the week on an impulse-decision based on seeing 15 seconds of this island on the Cannibal Corpse dvd or not to visit Malta within the week on an impulse decision based on seeing 15 seconds of this island on the Cannibal Corpse dvd
Also, Rob Barett is the cutest. I think if I hand him a smoke or a drink he'd be like my BFF for the rest of the day. I love how happy he is.

Pretty sure you could get more info on Malta besides a CC DVD.
And Steve is totally a hipster.

Hipsters never realize that they are hipsters. Which is why I am going to put this out there right now, I could potentially be a hipster and not know it.

Nobody called anyone a hipster back in the days of tapes and lp's. Freaks, hippies, yippies, and The Man was the terminology.

I just made a twitter, mostly for following purposes. But maybe for tweeting pictures of oatmeal cookies, beer and gumbo. I just want to know who some amusing people are to follow. I read on Cracked that Martha Stewart's twitter was batshit crazy but it looks like she finally got a PR rep. Do any of you have twitters?

Kenny Hotz of Kenny Vs Spenny is hilarious. Ray Charles has one, and a couple times a week he just posts "Aaehoau heal, ehoaub, hou!" shit. I'm serious.
I "have one", but I've never used it once and only got it to secure the band name if my life ever comes to twittering: @deadheadroses.
