Death of Mike Starr

Bassist of beloved Alice in Chains died yesterday from a suspected overdose. Fuck. I read in some other articles that he'd been mixing benzos and opiates, which would certainly do it. I hope that this is last of the deaths that such an awesome band has to go through. I'll definitely be rotating their discography tonight!

Why do people always say things like "he was 44"? He still is! And he will be for the foreseeable future.

Love AiC. Even though he wasn't their current bassist either when he died nor when AiC first went on hiatus in the late 90's, he was there during their most formative days and for the beginning of their success. I didn't know the guy, but RIP nonetheless.
