Which guitars do u prefer?

gibson - overpriced and suck anyway
jackson - great
ibanez - very good, especially since they dont cost much
esp - even better than jacksons, but can tend to cost a shitload
fender - gay, but it seems like im the only one that thinks that a strat is shit.

Gibsons aren't my thing and damn expensive, ESP is nice but the cheaper models with EMG hz's aren't that happening, and I absolutely agree, fender is crap

depending on the models they're all great, even the stratocoaster (put some EMG's on it )

if i were to buy a new guitar it would probably be an ESP or Jackson
and actually, i think most the people on here don't think to highly of fender, except me. my squire strat seriously isn't that bad.

Gibsons- I just prefer the feel and tone
Jackson- if they'd produce a decent midrange axe (right below an SL-3) for around $500, I'd buy it. Good guitars, but I don't like their marketing.
Ibanez- love 'em
ESP- no opinion, really
Fender- not bad

Ibenez are very good guitars for the money but i REALLY hate the fact that a lot of nu-metal bands play them...i'm thinking about getting an Ibanez though (my acoustic is ibanez but i think this thread is about electrics)

ESP- i love the sound of most but there are better axes out there...

Well, since I got that over with I'm going to say either... Gibson or Jackson only because Ibanez make guitars of crapwood(most.understand me.) in asia therefore they cut costs and you end up with a crap guitar, and THEN they rip your damn leg off with such prices! 200 -low 300 okay, I can deal with it, but more? No. Again ESP. Ha they should change their name to LTD since that's the what they have, all the good ESP guitars are signature series. But what happens if you DON'T want a signature series? Currently lack of guitar choices that are ESP. Fender are okay guitars, I'm not really a fender fellow, but I could live with it. They have some guitars that really don't appeal to me though...

ESP- their customs are cool...the regs suck ass....

Fender- a good line of guitars ranging from begginer squires to the high prices strats...good tone for blues and classic Clapton and all

I would get a RR3 jackson or some jackson signature, maybe an Ibanez or Gibson, but my first choice would be jackson all the way.

I agree with Def-FX, PRS guitars are overrated, overpriced, cost cutted guitars. But yeah, you could use them for metal, I saw that one dude from Disturbed I guess, uses them. BUT if I was going to buy a PRS, I'd get one made before the year 1995, when they still had decent guitars, and was Made In America. Otherwise, I'd rather waste my money on something else, like at Taco Bell.

For what it's worth, Larry LaLonde (Primus) uses a PRS, so they're not entirely bad... I still wouldn't pay those prices though...

i have a Jackson and love it, everytime I pick up an Ibanez I feel like I'm holding a little kids toy in my hand, I really did like the Joe Satriani one. They're ok I guess, I played and ESP once thinking I would love it but I really didn't It just didn't fit me well and was hard to control the string vibration on it. I like my Jackson because it has a really long neck and really fat fuckin' frets. The pickups really sucked until I put some EMG's in it though. I played a B.C. rich warlock once and was like "Fuck This!" The neck was so short and the body felt so awkward, I didn't understand that though because I play a Rhoades.

A few of you guys, I don't remeber who and i don't really care, were saying that fender buying Jackson will 'fuck them up'. Even though fender don't make guitars suited to metal, they take great pride in the production of their instruments. It won't even make a difference to the making of Jackson guitars, as they will most probably be manufactured under the same factories.
