I think your right about everything you just posted. That was one hell of a bitch slapping and it took time for us to write. I think that the point was made even though it will never be viewed again.
Back to the Guitar Gods, can anyone tell me who Gary Moore is? I really don't know who he is and, no, I'm not trying to get shit started again. I just want to know who he is.

no idea who gary moore is but i think my mind has changed on my favorite guitarist. I'd say Andreas Kisser, not because he's the most talented but because he comes up with mostly original stuff. not like some of these new metal guitarists using riffs from past bands.

Yes, Andreas is one of my favoriates too. I really enjoy his older stuff in Sepultura. Just bad to the bone leads!

gary moore is a solo guitarist who plays very old style metal (70s).

Thanks for that site. I have made up my own mind and it looks as if his stuff is rock/blues/folk/fussion music. It doesn't seem he is very metal at all, but NothingHead, if thats your vote then OK. But try thinking of a guitarist a little, well a lot, heavier, because this Gary seems to be some distant relative to metal music.

If a guitarist has good style and you like him, and he has memorable songs and riffs than it doesnt matter what genre, or band he's in right??? I dont hear a guitarist and be like wow that solo was awesome but hes a blues guitarist so i cant like him DAMN. Cmon guys it doesnt matter what genre if you like them it doesnt matter.

ive never heard any metal musician say they play rock...As soon as rob halford launched judas priest's first album they recognized it as metal not as rock...if i can recall i dont think i could name any metal band after 1979 that has rock artists as their influences...besides arch enemy, (angela's favorite album is "Kiss - Lick it up" but Kiss has also been concidered one of the Masters of Heavy Metal and just to stay on topic, if u consider Kiss, metal, then ace frehley is definately a Divine superior

So true! I like blues guitarist ( well, I like anything with guitars for that matter ), but I would never for a second confuse SRV as a metal player. I think that insults both genre to some degree. Gary is maybe a great guitarist, but I don't think he is anywhere near a metal enough to be seriously posted here.

I'm not cold against Gary Moore - he is actually a good guitarist - but he shouldn't be considered in this thread.

have you guys heard of the band Dream Evil??? They have a great greek guitarist named...GUS G. hes awesome and in sweden and most of scandanavia hes a guitar hero im pretty sure...
