Thanks, quite a compliment. By the way, some people told me they couldn't hear the link so here's another site where you can check out the songs :
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/3/b...organsmusic.htm
EDIT : The link will only work from tomorrow (march 12) on.

i was in a band called lost cause (LC). i know cliche as fuck.
im into D.M, and my friend is into pop-punk. we also had a drummer that listens to hard-trance/ dance music so yeah, quite a combo. these were the roles:
Myself: lead guitar
Justin (pop-punk) : rythym guitar
Mike: drums
ok so anyway this was by far the shittest thing ever.
Justin, the cunt, made himself songwriter and i didnt have anysay, and mike didnt either. he found out that song writers get about 90% profit of the band unless you split it between the band, so if we ever made any money, he would get most of it. Fucking jew. anyway, we didnt write often and as a result writing a song took about a month. the first song: is gay. he wrote the whole thing, i didnt get any say.
we were meant to be a punk/metal band. this song was gay and he did a solo. so he sung, played lead, even though im a better guitarist (because i play metal 100% and he plays punk) (he cant even tremolo pick) anyway, i was pretty angry , but i left it slide, with hopes for a better song.
he wrote another song in one night.
he fucking killed it.
the song was entitled "alive to die", sounds promising. but it was shit.
i played this throughout the whoooole song
B|-----------------14--------------------------14-
G|----12----12-------------12-------12-----------
D|-14----14----14-------14-------14-------14----
i mean it , the whole thing. i only had one change, the chorus, which was pathetic anyway. but it gets worse.
the song was a fucking love song, on the terms of "am i alive 2 die, or am i here for you"..."your kiss is like a flame, that i hold in my hand"
THE GAYEST FUCKING LYRICS IN THE UNIVERSE
he has been with a girl for 6 months, loves her more than Jesus (he is Catholic), and wouldnt dump her for 1 billion dollars. he is also 15.
i remember, i just gave him a weird/disgusted look, and walked away refusing to play
im with Mike doing our music now, we do an array of theme songs - Death Metal (but for the death drumming we use a computer :P) but i dunno, its fun. nothing could be worse than Lost Cause. the biigest piece of shit poser this planet has ever seen

Welcome to Slavery
Hey, all. Well, just stumbled across this site, and am glad I did...now a little about me and my band
I'm the bassist for a band called Wetwork, a progressive/technical death metal band from the Toronto, ON, Canada area. We are a 3pc (bass, drums, guitar) plus a female vocalist that most people agree sounds like a cross between Death and Carcass.
We are about to release our 3rd CD and hope to have it out by June 1st. It will be entitled "Synod", and should be available in most North American retail outlets.
If you want to hear some of it, go to www.wetwork.ca/heavensadvocate.html and if you want to just see the website, it's www.wetwork.ca (the song is hidden, so if you didn't know the link, you'd never find it...) Enjoy, and let me know what you all think of it.
I've been playing bass, now, for over 23 years, and just keep getting heavier and heavier (in playing style, not weight...lol) and don't see any end to it in sight. I've been very fortunate in my time, and seen many parts of the world that I never thought I'd see.
Thanks, and later.

that Wetwork song was alright, the bass near the end was awesome. good flow to the song and all that, cool outro riff as well. the vocals seemed to have effects added to it though, making it a little weak, and the whole "there is no God" thing is really childish. if you've been playing guitar for 23 years, aren't you too old to have high school lyrics? i just find those lyrics, plus the webpage to be needlessly evil, hopefully its more of a joke then anything else.

Wetwork Lyrics
Hey. Glad you enjoyed the song overall. The bass riff at the end of the song is a 2-handed tapping technique over 4 strings, using (in order) the root, octave, 5th, 10th, octave, 5th, then modulated up a minor 3rd, down a major 3rd, etc.
Vocally, the only effects on the vocals are a little reverb to blend the vocal tracks. She does 2 vocal tracks for everything, and adds a 3rd vocal track for some of the deeper sounding parts, but it is all Doc's vocals.
As for the lyrics, the theme of the whole CD "Synod" is basically pointing out the hypocrisies and fallacies within the church, which is something the entire band feels very strongly about. We used the words "There is no God" more or less to fit with the underlying riff, but also to emphasize the message behind the song, that there IS no God within the organization known as religion. Not that there isn't a God, but that the church itself is so corrupted and greedy that it no longer represents the wishes and morals of thier God.
The website, and the artwork on the upcoming release are, by necessity, "evil" in looks, as we are, afterall, a technical death metal band. And remember, it's all about marketing. lol. But we are not in anyway trying to promote Satanism, nor are we Satanist, or anything of the sort. If anything, we are probably what you would call Agnostics.

It sounds more like you are atheists. Stand up and admit it like a man. Agnostic is pretty much a copout to avoid backlash from religious friends and family...
That song was pretty decent, but I would agree Father Death that the imagery and lyrics are old and tired. Good marketing is doing something new IMO.

ah i thought there was a bit more added to the vocals, in that case they are fine.
at least you guys have a theme going on for the CD, thats always a plus, regardless of what the theme actually is.
thats a pretty sweet bass thing, i like to be able to download the song instead of just playing it though, pretty much just for that one part.

Been in a few bands in my time nothing much ever happened as we kept having to audition new bass players every few weeks! Strange animal the bass player! I guess it don't help when both guitarist tune differently, poor chaps never knew what key to play in!!!
Here's a link to my mates band web site, just to show that metal is alive in small town England! They'd appreciate the visit
http://www.detonalstate.com/indexflash.php
If the link doesn't work send me some abuse and I'll try to sort it!

Hey Father Death. Thanks again for the comments. Always glad to hear what people think, good, bad or otherwise.
We are revamping the entire website to coincide with the June 1st release of "Synod", and there will be atleast 2, probably 3 full songs in high quality mp3 format for downloading. I'll make sure one of them is "Heaven's Advocate" lol
In the meantime, if you like, PM me your email addy and I'll send you a lower quality mp3 (as that's all I have on this piece of shit computer...) They are still clear, but only 96K...
Cheers
