truly difficult solo's
A few of the truly most difficult solos ever would be
Pantera- Cemetary Gates, Domination, Floods
Metallica- Blackened, Fade to Black, Dyers Eve
Megadeth- Holy Wars, Hangar 18
Dragonforce- Fury of the Storm
Buckethead- Most of his stuff even though it sometimes sounds like crap
Iron Maiden- Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Trooper
Guns N' Roses- November Rain, Sweet Child O' Mine
Children of Bodom- Lake Bodom, Bodom After Midnight, Downfall... Everything else by them is insane too
Dream Theater- Pull Me Under
Avenged Sevenfold- Burn It Down, Afterlife
Yngwie Malmsteen- Arpeggios From Hell
Joe Satriani- Surfing With the Alien
Van Halen- Hot for Teacher.. PS Eruption really isn't that hard even though it sounds crazy
Ozzy Osbourne- Crazy Train
If anyone can play most of these solos fairly well, you are insanely good at guitar, i can only play a few of these

Green Day: (just kidding, green day SUCKS!)
The Faceless: Leica
Dismember: Time Heals Nothing
Slayer: Black Magic
Metallica: Master of Puppets (i like both the fast and slow solos in this one)

I really like, no, I love David Gilmour's solos, but as for metal, Opeth has some solos that I like a lot, especially in songs like Ghost Of Perdition and Baying Of The Hounds.
One of the best fitting solos is in Drudkh's song Furrows Of Gods.
I don't really like extremely fast solos where all they play is scales or some random dissonant (but fast) playing that doesn't fit with the songs' atmosphere, improve it at all or serve any purpose other than being there just for the sake of being there.

I don't like solos, but frezzing moon solo by Euronymous is wonderful, best I ever heard.All other solos are fast withouth any sence!
