Not use dark blue text against a dark green background for starters

Yeah man, just head to a guitar shop, try out some distortion pedals until you find a sound you like, shell out a few bucks, bring it home and plug the bastard in, lol.

you could probably get a multi-effects pedal for about 200. i wouldn't suggest it though. on my multi-effects pedal, you can't mix the effects. or at least i haven't found a way to. and also when you edit the effect you can't save the edit. so if you want something slightly different from the 30 or so presets, and you decide to edit one, as soon as you change the pedal to a different efffect, the old effect is lost. shitty deal, eh. so if i were getting some new pedals, i definately would NOT get a multi-effects pedal.

I agree with Panterica .. but I also don't like Multi Effects pedals because I really don't care much for "digital distortion" It sounds weird to me.. especially the Digitech.. that thing just doesn't sound right IMO.. the Zoom I used to play on didn't sound TOO bad.. oh and by the way.. I didn't mean to sound like a dick or anything with my first post.. i was just tired and my eyes hurt when I posted it.. hehe sorry

yeah, analog distortions sound much better, digital ones sound crappy most of the time, except for some really expensive line 6's

Oh and for Distortion on your laney, its Tube right? Well grab a TubeScreamer, or some Overdrive pedal.. those are awsome for tube amps.

Analog means circuits, the thing makes its noise from capasitors, resistors,
& transistors. Digital means the sound is made by a IC chip. It runs on
programs based on numbers. Digitech has a pedal out called the Metal Morph,
it can imitate different pedals including the metal zone 2.

better off with a metal zone or Digitech metal master
and the metal master can simulate the metal zone pedal from boss,
and they don't make alot of feedback (GOD!! FEEDBACK GETS IN MA NERVES)
