Some people are so fucking stubborn and close minded. iwrestledabearonce is actually really good. If you pay attention to what they're playing instead of looking for something you don't like. If they can incorporate grindcore with different types of music, they obviously know what the fuck they're doing. I've said this to so many people before, if it shows good musicianship and talent you should respect it even if it's not your type of music. Don't get me wrong though, I love everything that's based around metal.
And just so you know, they didn't have a drummer when they recorded which is why it's just a drum program, but the one they have now can play the same as the recordings.

While they may have the talent, they don't have the musicianship to back it up. These days, anybody can play fast and crazy to the point to where it's not THAT impressive anymore. How can you (not YOU specifically, just a general "you") respect bands that do nothing but jack off with their guitars?

Shit, I actually found that interlude that starts at about 1:05 really relaxing. And most of what came after that I kinda enjoyed aswell. But every single thing before that one minute mark is just absolutely ridiculous.(in a bad way)

not into this band either but my drummer got hired to do a tour w/ them and has gotten a couple of endorsement offers two weeks into the tour so I am very happy for him. Dude hasn't had to spend a dime and is raking in the dough. I see this as a great opportunity that will open doors for him as well as the band that we are in together.

my good friend Eddy Hoffman is their drummer and he is AMAZING.
i have never heard someone hit 32nd notes like he does.
fucking insane.
and not to mention how technical alot of their guitar work is.
most of you are just pissed off because metal is changing.
well, get used to it!
nothing matches to the brutallity of the music thats springing up nowadays.

Being technically proficient doesn't mean whatever you're playing is any good, and its probably the least attractive thing anyone can say about a band when they're trying to say the music is any good.
No one is pissed that metal is changing or that people are doing new things. We're pissed because these fashionably malnourished kids that shop in the women's section at Target think that playing really fast and "technical" with a lot of random crap thrown in makes them any good. Its all part of that "OMG thats so random haha i luv that! I can be randum too! polar barf melon pool! donkey massage parlor! Jupiter!!".
If they tried any harder, they'd explode.
