D (one step down)
Sounds more brutal but not too much.. I love it for playing any kind of metal.. And all the old In Flames songs are in this tuning so I can play those!

I'm most of the times tuned in E or Eb, D too but sometimes i go to C#, C, B, A but I think it's too low
drop-D sucks, I never used/will use this tuning
tuning is not that important, playing good is

important thing to remember to play grindcore : The lower, the better

this isn't my favorite tuning or anything but has anyone ever heard of this tuning before - E-E-B-B-B-B (from low to high) now that's wacked! soundgarden used this, if anyone cares.
my fav. alternative tuning is Eb.  |

i remember one dude who tunes his guitar to D-B-D-D-B-B.
i like standard the best, E-A-D-G-B-E, tuned at 442.
i've also tuned to a C-chord before, E-C-E-G-C-E, its okay.
i don't like drop D because it suckie sound, and any lower
than a whole step down, i don't like.

i only use the standard tuning... first of all because i like it, and second because my guitar is a crap and always lost the tuning if tune lower than E

my favourite tuning is standard, cuz i hate tuning down, but since the guy asked for alternate tuning, i'm picking 1/2 steps down, cuz thats closest to standard
