I think they went to a gay bar for inspiration for these songs. Sweet merciful lord is this atrocious.

"Recently, a pair of tracks reportedly from the next album were leaked onto the internet and met with widespread derision from Cryptopsy's fanbase."
Something I found on Wikipedia. Apparently this is a worldwide panic.

Of course. This is even more disappointing to me than what Silverchair became... and THAT was disappointing!

lol yeah. The first two albums were fucking amazing... then it was just a big trainwreck. A few months ago I left the TV on MuchMusic (Our version of MTV) and saw a music video from their latest album. I wanted to reach through the screen and crush their windpipes.

Compared to the SMN forum, we're taking it quite well. They have a thread that's 13 pages long dedicated to how horrible those 2 songs sound.
Get on the ball people!

That's what I thought too... but the drumming does sound like Flo, and the guitars in the second song "feel" like the newer Cryptopsy riffs that Alex Auburn writes.
EDIT ::: According to the Cryptopsy website, its a definite yes.

Yeah, it sucks he quit extreme metal because he's needed badly right now. Hell of a guitar player.

Ha, me too! Pretty cool show. I remember staying up late every night when I was younger to watch it. Bummer it got canceled, but you can download all the episodes off their website.

You think that's bad take a look at the guestbook on their official site.
I've always hated the term "sellout", but this attempt is just too transparent to not label it so. I NEVER thought I'd say that about Cryptopsy.
