i just got marduks infernal eternal and on the inside cover theres a big picture of a german cross with a pentagram in the middle, are these guys damn nazis?
although i have some of their songs on my computer i regret spending 20 bucks on their cd because the songs start to sound the same and repetitive.

Carry the iron cross.

Tons of bands use Iron/Maltese crosses for one thing or another. It doesn't mean they are racists. Where the did you get that from? I don't get this connection people make with the Iron Cross and Nazism.

Marduk are a very WWII influenced band. Tons of their stuff has to do with WWII (especially the German side) - but as far as I know they're not a Nationalist band.

Yep, they are probably Nazi's.

You're right, using the cross doesn't brand you a nazi, but to say that you can't understand the connection between the Iron Cross and nazism is fucking ignorant.

Ignorant? Get out you history books and do some research on the Iron Cross. There would be a much looser connection if people knew what the fuck they were talking about before they associated it with Nazism.

You have to assume that people are going to associate it with Nazis before Malta. It was the Knights of the Order of St John of Jerusalem or something, right? What do you think they know more about? You're being ignorant of human nature if you think that they will associate something with an obscure bit of historical trivia before something as famous as, say, World War II.
