Best drummer awards are all bullshit. There is no best drummer period. It's all opinion. There are no statistics that can prove one drummer is better than another.
But it is easy to say if someone is decent or good. And she is both.

Marketability is the primary determinant of exposure, and what is given sufficient exposure has its chances of being considered for or winning a 'top' award exponentially increased. So it's a fact of life that somebody who wins this type of award will be over-hyped, since being over-hyped is a prerequisite for winning this type of award. And marketability is definitely an aspect of an attractive and talented female drummer.

Meh her drumming is ok, I think awards such as "best female drummer," Best hispanic drummer," etc etc are really bullshit.
