A lot of people won't agree with me but I think Sauron is a really good dm vocalist, he has a pretty distinguishable machine-like growl. He didn't enunciate very well but I think Covan is even harder to understand, plus Sauron doesn't sound like he's forcing it so much, Covan sounds like he has constipation.

I'm kinda surprised that these have been the only major bus crashes in metal. We're talking almost 40 winters of driving around at night in probably sub-par buses throughout for hundreds of bands, and there's only two major accidents?

Anyway, hope everyone ends up okay. I can't say I care that much about Decapitated one way or another, but I hope that when the band ends it will be for less disastrous reasons.

I'm deeply saddened by this news. 23 is no damn age to die. This guy was so damn young and gifted, I mean he was 14 when they all started out. Vitek's drumming is part of the reason "Winds Of Creation" is one of my kick ass all time favorite death metal albums... not to mention I hear he was a cool person as well. I'm just fortunate I was able to see them live last year. I can't imagine what must be going through Vogg's head now. RIP Vitek.

Fuck. I really appreciate I saw them on the 25th of May this year. Vitek was a great drummer.

It's fucked up that I saw him alive just earlier in the year... I still have the images in my head. And now those images are completely obsolete, its crazy, that really strikes a chord with me.

Well their death's were very similar. Both musicians dedicated to their shit and then all of a sudden died while on tour in a bus accident. They both also died at a very young age and they were both becoming successes. So it is reasonable to compare their deaths. However comparing it to another musicians death such as Dimebag, Chuck Schuldiner, Wayne Knrupp, Doc from Vader, etc. would be irrelevant [sp?]

It is a shame that he died at very young age.

Well, obviously, that sucks. Just thinking about dying in a car accident at 23 is pretty terrifying (at least when you're 22 and your car got hit by a semi a few months back. Terrible way for a band to end, if it's what does it. Good to hear the other guy's doing all right.

And I guess the number is three out of several thousand bands over the course of 40 years. Or I could change the word 'major' to 'fatal.' In any case, it's still a very small percentage compared to what I'd expect the chances to be, especially given the greater popularity of metal in cold Northern climes and therefore the greater chances of tours taking place where there's mountains and ice on the roads, in probably poorly-maintained buses with strung-out drivers

Oh, and Myles, don't play the 'I care more about this dead guy than that one' game. Nobody gives two shits which corpse you liked more, and nobody's shocked when you bring up something irrelevant to try and be offensive because you're the town bad boy with his spikey hair and hooded sweatshirt an oh-so-scary mirror-practiced glare.
