DiMarzio Chopper

I was looking for a new set of pup's in my Hamer...problem is that they are all single coil pickups, so i need to get a godly metal single coil.
I've looked around and lowered it down to either this DiMarzio Chopper, or jackson hot rails...but my Kramer has hotrails in it and i'm not keen on its tone.
So i guess thats just a roundabout way of saying i want a new pup, and i'm looking at the Dimarzio Chopper, anyone ever use it?
I play a lot of technical stuff like cacophony, but as well as lamb of god style rhythm, so any help would be wicked

Have you considered Seymour Duncan hotrails?

Why dont you just route out the body and get a real humbucker in it?

Routing it for humbuckers is expensive, plus there are plenty of high gain buckers in single coil format for his situation. The Dimarzio Tonezone comes in single-coil sized humbucker format, check it out, it kicks ass for a bridge rhythm pickup.

You'd probably start charging people quite a lot if you found out how rare people with routers available to them are that also work with guitars.

That's what i meant when i said jackson hot rails, the two names are synonymous imo.
I think they are alright, just kinda thin. Thats why i was looking at the choppers, apparently very crunchy, but not that much feedback. I heard a sample on thier site.
I'll try the tone master for the bridge, i'll have to check it out first. But the question was: has anyone tried the DiMarzio chopper and would you recomend it?

The dimarzio chopper is not meant as a bridge pickup to my knowledge, I think it's strictly as a neck pickup to complement a very high gain bridge pickup. But don't quote me on it, look at the dimarzio site they have info and sound for almost all of their pickups

If I were you I'd get the Dimarzio Fasttrack 1 in the neck position(or fasttrack 2 if you don't need cleans at all)
