Our singer sounds like Tom Araya/Max Cavalera mixed.We just want his whole sound to improve.What are some of the really basics of lower thrash type vocals.Just any hints,tips or tricks to help would be appreciated.Thanks guys!

I hate random ass shouting in a thrash band, thats why I dont like slayer, try to get him to develop his voice like a more angry hardcore voice, like Hatebreed or something.

A good thrash(ish) band is Unearth, I'm not a fan of thier new stuff, it's a little too thrash metal for my tastes, but they're def a good band.

and thier vocallist has a real good toned angry hardcore voice.

anyways that's my imput, asfar as tips, he just needs to work on yelling really loud and getting tone and building upon his voice, it will take time, but in the end it will be awesome.

Tom Araya is THE best thrash singer i have ever heard.

Shouting is best for Thrash, not screaming like Hatebreed/Unearth.

Practice, Practice, Practice.

Thanks for all the help but i agree with ZRO we all love slayers vocals and everyone in our band hates Hatebreed and Hardcore in general.What are some warm ups he can do?
