List Drop C bands/albums
Could you guys list some bands that use drop C (or standard D, but say so if it is) I want to find more bands to play along with.

Well Metallicas St.Anger is all in dropped C, but I guess you knew that already. I heard that some In Flames album was in dropped C, and I think some songs on Clayman should be in dropped C. Children of Bodoms "Are you dead yet" is in dropped C.

Drop C - pretty much any Gothenburg-sounding metalcore band you can think of.
Avulsed also used/still use drop C, and Arsis have a few songs in Drop C, the rest in D.

Why? Just check out any death and trash bands and a good portion are in D. The Drop C question is really good though. Fuck it, I'll humor you.

i dont understand how Job for a Cowboy is metalcore... everything about them is pretty deathmetal to me... other than the way they look. Somebody explain.

Your right, JFAC...is DEFINATELY not metalcore.
However, unless Lamb of God changed their tuning on their new album they still play in Drop-D "DADGBE" not D standard "DGCFAD"

Well, I lumped Job For A Cowboy into Metalcore because I couldn't stand to see them next to Decapitated in the Death Metal section. I don't consider them Death Metal. Whether they are or not is subjective.

and how is Job for a cowboy anything core? theyre heavier than numerous deathmetal bands i know. The only thing i think could reduce them to a 'core' band is their scene getup, and their simple riffs... but hey, devourment has uber simple riffs and theyre death metal
