5 songs with the fastest drumming ever heard
Name a couple of songs you know with super-fast drumming (any genre)
Here some of mine:
1-Buried By Time and Dust- Mayhem
2-Aiwass Aeon- 1349
3-Forces of Satan Storms- Gorgoroth
4-Ebony Dressed for Sunset- Cradle of Filth (not a fan, but Nick Barker is amazing)

i'm not sure cause i don't listen to black metal but for DM, Unas Slayer of the Gods there is this one part where it is just the horn and the drummer, and he is keeping one pattern going really fast for a minute. Seems pretty fast to me. Oh and Malevolent creation has some fast drumming aswell

Morbid Angel - Opening of the Gates has double bass that's 300bpm. The most relentless drumming that comes to mind is that of John Longstreth on Informis.

Anything from Jon Engman (Brodequin/Foetopsy) is superhuman. It's speed and little else.
Songs:
1. Nile - Masturbating the War God
2. Krisiun - Sentinel of the Fallen Earth
3. Angelcorpse - Stormgods Unbound
4. Origin - Portal
5. Hate Eternal - Beyond Redemption

I'm pleased to see that my peers have already named Morbid Angel and Malevolent Creation. The only band I have to add off the top of my head is Misery Index. I never really got into them, but they're definitely good musicians.

300bpm is well beyond drumometer records<double bass or single stroke, hands>, basically noone has ever played at 300bpms consistantly, in a musical context, hands or feet with singles.
260-270 is about the fastest doublekick tempos<subdivision: 16th notes>, roddy and kollias are about the fastest metal drummers. the actual difference between 260 and 270 is not really noticable anyway.
there are other double kick speedsters out there and no doubt the folks you mention are fast mofos

Fake: anything from both Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Mortician.
+ 1,000,000 other speedcore and drum machine projects

i'd say The Berzerker
That drum fill from Ruin by Lamb of God before the transition sounds fucking fast...and cool as hell...not nearly as fast as most DM but fucking cool...

1349 covered that song. Killer job, too. And it's much faster than the original.

1349 DID do a goo job speeding that shit up and with the stuff they play I guess it was probably necessary to not be bored playing it.

Fast as fuck? Well try Hate Eternal - Behold Judas, especially when that 260-280bpm+ blast kicks in in some interlude after the solo. Never heard a blastbeat faster than that, not even with Nile or Vital Remains(and VR had Tim Yeung, which supposedly won the fastest drummer award right?).
Oh yeh and DECREPIT BIRTH. How come noone has mentioned them yet?
