Godflesh
As 'none' metal bands go that's a few in the top 40. I wouldn't call AC/DC metal either.
Terrorizer doesn't just cater for metal but the whole extreme music as a whole. So it frequently features punk, hardcore, industrial, experimental noise etc within it's pages.

Man, don't cite things that were revealed later together with a quote from me as though my statement was made in knowledge of them. Obviously I didn't know that The Misfits, The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and Swans were going to be on the list.
However, Godflesh are usually considered metal and Earth A.D. is basically thrash metal in two-minute capsules. Black Flag is also a band I'd call borderline after they slowed down. And I'd call it significant that Minor Threat isn't up there with bands it's usually listed among. But yeah, point conceded, obviously this list isn't just metal bands.
Oh, I also retract any statement to the point that Bad Brains never played metal.

I couldn't agree more, my point is that Nirvana is some lame fucken psuedo grunge stylised band and obituary started off in like the first wave of death metal, but Nirvana were MORE influencial in the METAL scen than OBituary?? Give me a break.
