This sounds way too good to be true. If the lineup is anything like last year, I'm still not going.

Yea good thing the better bands are going first in this case. Id go to see BTBAM, SYL, BLS, and Red Chord; I wouldn't if it wasn't free.

Someone's gotta pay something, I mean this is capitalism... I'm guessing there will be a shitload of advertizing - mostly in the forms of bands on stage (ha..ha...ha...)

Ozzfest last year was alright, except for the heat and the majority of bad bands. I might go if the main stage lineup is any good. Otherwise, no.

I'm just realizing something; to go to Ozzfest is going to be free, but that doesn't mean food and shirts and shit will be free. Something tells me they might compensate somehow by raising the prices at consession stands and stuff. Sneaky.

If Ozzy is really "giving back" after 30 years, the prices on food/shirts will be normal and he would be taking the hit on the money part of the deal. Not like he can't afford it or anything.

Or advertising, like people said before.

Oh, I just noticed that the bands will not be paid. Makes you wonder what the final lineup will be.

Either good bands that don't care about money..or shitty rich bands that can afford not getting paid.

Maybe some of the melo death bands will crawl up from the ashes and bring forth a new age of mainstream metal, blowing the remaining weak hardcore metal and nu-metal bands away, sending them to the soldering center of the Sun where their flesh and bones will burn for all eternity.... or until the sun goes nova.

I do, however, think the following should be at Ozzfest, second stage or main stage;

Black Sabbath (duh)
Iron Maiden (another duh)
Slayer
Cannibal Corpse
Judas Priest
Megadeth
Kreator
Venom

Bands I personally would like to see there;

Disturbed (Didn't see them last year, and yes I did make that comment just above about nu-metal band, but I can't help but love them.... but in a conventional way).
Dark Tranquillity
Amon Amarth
Neaera
Arch Enemy
Old Man's Child
Lunatic (Doubtfully, considering they've been broken up for years, but would be pretty cool!)
Opeth

I'm just thinking off the top of my head, which btw the view is very bad from there.

Iron Maiden, though, HAS to be there. ONe of the bands I need to see before I die.

Are you kidding?! After the soap opera that was last year's ozzfest I don't think iron maiden will be allowed within 500 feet of either ozzy or sharon.
