But I plan on buying a Metal zone

it's been said a million times
the boss metalzone MT-2, it has a huge range and you can really fix diffrent kinda distortions on it.
a GT6 is also nice though

all this talk about the Metal Zone makes me sick. I used to use one way back when i played out of a litlle 15 watt crate amp. after that i got one of the Valvestates, couldn't get even close to a decent sound out of the pedal, so i used the amp distortion. got tired of that and now i use my VHT Pittbull. This produces distortion that I had only dreamed of having before. I tried the Metal Zone out on the VHT just for kicks... Terrible

I think that's your taste of distortion, the metalzone is the best sold guitar pedal that boss has got it their range now...
I know there are some (better) distortions out there like the 'RAT' pedal etc...
but hell, a mt2 is just cheap and pretty versatile, that's why many people like it.

You'd be surprised how brutal of a sound I can get through my fender amp. I hate fender guitars and their amps suck, but it will do till I can start saving for more audio equipment. Priorities go to drugs and my car.

Hmm, here's an idea. Get a god damn job. Sorry, I just hate it when people say it's partly or wholly their parents fault they don't have money. Work sucks, but life with money can be great.

I play a Parker p-38 with an emg 81 in the bridge (which i want to take out because when i bought the 81 i only heard people rave about them, turns out its very thin sounding.) I use a 120 watt 2x12 crate with the built in effects. I use a furman 31 band EQ and a BBE sonic maximizer through the effect loop to clarify and customize my sound. I use a Big Muff for distortion, and a JH-1 Crybaby wah.
