Soloing and Songwriting, please help.

Hey, I'm new. I was wanting to know if anyone could help me with either songwriting, or soloing. I've read about them, and understand some about them, but I can't quite get either very well. Any help would be appreciate

Question

Guitar soloing, bass soloing or drum soloing? That all depends on what you play. I assume you mean bass soloing, considering that you posted this in the Bass section...but be a little more specific, what exactly are you looking for?

~Cheers

Well, in terms of songwriting per se, whether it be for bass, guitar, drums, whatever, listen to as much music as you can, just all the time. In the car, at the computer, on headphones walking down the street. And not just metal, ANY and ALL types of music. It will really help you understand progression/song structure and stuff like that, which will help you define what kind of sound you want to acheive.

Yeah...Me Himself pretty much said it all, I can't think of anything else that could be added.

Yeah, activebass is great. I use it all the time. It's basically my musical dictionary.
