I am thoroughly enjoying it. For a start, I find it addictive. In order to progress quickly you can obtain badges, medals, pins and ribbons. Badges most of the time require a certain amount of time with weapon kits, amount of heals/ammo giving points, hours as a squad leader etc. Pins you can obtain easier in each round eg. 5 kill spree, 10 kill spree, 8 kills with explosives, 5 headshots, 5 roadkills etc, so there's always something to work for. Some ribbons/badges require stupid amounts of time such as 25 hours in air transport. There are about 25-30 unlocks including weapons, a defribrillator, anti-tank/anti-air rifles, grenades, mines, area scan equipment, squad leader spawn beacons etc. You can have up to 64 people in the basic Conquest mode where you reduce the opponents spawn tickets by killing them, or on certain levels holding either half or all of the control points on the map will reduce their tickets slowly. The other game mode, Titan (up to 48 ppl), is slightly more complicated. Rather than just killing, you have to capture missile silos around the Titan maps to reduce the enemy Titan's shield (a sort of flying aircraft carrier). Once either your's or the enemy's shields are down, you can board either your's or the enemies Titan from helicopters, launch pods in APCs or (if close enough) pods from your own titan to attack/defend. Once on board the Titan there are four consoles which have to be destroyed in order to access the Titan core. Once the core is destroyed on either Titan it's game over. The game sounds and looks good as well.
I am ranked 175,825 out of 499,801 so time for another few rounds.
So to answer your question I guess it's intense and exciting.

More than likely going to the casino this weekend and hopefully not get arrested .
Writing riffs/a song for a new band I'm starting. Funk/jazz/classical/metal/rock/flamenco/whatever else inspired. Trying to make it more strange than Primus, yet flow together well.
Trying to not think about having sex with girls because my dick hurts from jerking off so much.
Trying to convince promoter's to host a show with Catamenia when they do their North American Tour Nov/Dec 2007.

Hidrio intresting post. I didn't like battlefield 2 all that much. It seemed like it was purely an online game, and the single player lacked so severely that it was almost not fun at all.
Definately sounds like the new one has alot more to bring to the table.

Melodic Death Metal has been my main fancy this week. Can't get enough; it is easily becoming my favorite genre. It has both the brutality and melody! It's like a threesome with a hot BDSM babe and a hot girl who does charity work.

I definately agree 100% on this. Hence why i'm slightly confused why its even called "melodic death metal."
I would almost go to say its the opposite of brutal all together. Brutality as it relates to death metal appears often to be highly aggresive and grotesque in lyrics, vice Melo Death has expresionist lyrics that are generally abstract or melodic/"depressing" in nature and rely on "time tested" melodic progressions and generally overall "ear pleasing" riffs.

When I said brutality, I meant merely the intensity of the music, not it's nature or sound.

What? haha You just counter what you said.
Is the nature and/or sound of hte music not part of the INTENSITY? haha.
And i would most definately disagree saying that melo death has the tiniest bit of the "intensity" of death metal. For one you'll have a hard time finding blast beats except in small locations maybe, depending on a select few bands, where as its very common in death metal. Hell not to mention lets just talk BPM. I would gather to say most Dark Tranquillities bpms are probably in the 170-185 range.

When I say intensity, I mean that in-your-face, take-it-as-it-is feeling and energy that most brutal death metal has. Combine that with the harmony and serenity of melodic metal and BAM, you've got melodic death metal.
I don't need blast beats being played at 260 bpm for music to be intense. Agoraphobic Nosebleed is like that and I don't get that same feeing of intensity (Ahtough it is there); it's just regular grindcore I sometimes need to take the edge off.
Just put in some Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth, or Death (I know they aren't classified as melo death, but I believe them to have some melodic overtones, and they're awesome), and I'm in heaven.
