I'm sure he's good, he's been playing bass for longer than most of you kids have been alive. So shut the hell up and respect the man......you do know he sings too don't you??
Slayer is also a band that revolves around guitar work. So bass and drums are less important.

Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse), Les Claypool (Primus), Ryknow (Mudvayne), dude from RATM, something Harris from Iron Maiden, the guy from Death, and I think that's about the size of it right there.

Best bassplayer is Cliff Burton, standing above everyone else. Further I'd like to mention Rex from Pantera, Marcus Miller, Nathan East. Special is Josquin des Prés, who transcribed J.S. Bach for bass-guitar. It's amazing how he plays the bass on the CD.
