solos - sounds - effects

what i should buy to have some cool sounding solos ? flanger? delay? chorus? or something else?

somebody told me to buy boss dd-3 pedal.. is it good?

i want to have some "weird" sound - for ex. Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, Alas

Get the Boss DD-5 Reverb/Delay pedal. It has by far, the best quality reverb/delay effects I've heard. Not to mention it has like 11 different settings. The DD-3 is now obsolete.

I also like My Boss CS-3 Compressor/Sustainer and CE-5 Chorus Ensemble pedals too.
