Jonas Karlsson uses a 7 (and does pretty much all guitar solo's)

Beneath The Massacre use 7's... and they are quite fucking brutal. I'm pretty sure they don't fall into the deathcore genre, but come fairly close.

Mortal Decay also use 7's I believe... check the songs of 'Forensic' (2002) on RoG.

Aeon use 7's on their new album, not sure about old.

But pretty much, any band that tunes to B standard or lower, can be played quite easily on a 7, you just get the extra high string that a 6 wouldnt have if it were tuned so low.

I know Devourment for sure is a 6 string band but Im not interested in learning their music at all.

But Imma start learning some of Spawn OF POssessions songs.
And yes Cannibal Corpse used 7 strings starting from the Vile album and so fourth.

Mortal Decay; I already knew this band from a long ass time ago. Great stuff from their debut and 2nd release.

Brujeria use 7 string and basically know how to play the whole Matando Guerros cd on guitar cuz its so ridiculously fucking easy hahahahahaha.

But a band you guys should check out with 7 strings are MUtilated; a fucking great band, some pretty cool solos, riffs and the vocals are great. Been listening to their demo and debut for over 3 years now and its sick ass stuff!

It's not a bad thing. Like a lot of people say Hardcore is crap but may I remind everyone that S.O.D was considered Hardcore when they came out? It just got turned into a shitty form of music. Bassically the hardcore now these days is Metalcore without clean vocals.

But Aborted is good Deathcore. But crap like Waking The Cadaver is not.
