DR Hi Beams. I also like the basic Rotosound set I have in my Spector, they are
almost like the Hi Beams, just much more cheaper

I use rotosound swing bass, they sound/feel good and last long/keep there tone if you apply fast fret to them every month or so.

avoid elixers...
my low b gets frayed after only a week or so of use(by that I mean the coating they apply starts to peel off) and i never touch a plectrum to my bass...EVER
go with spector strings...warwick black labels...or d'arios(dunno how to spell it)

Good choice. The Hi Beams dont last for as long as the other as expensive brands, but they certainly sound the best for the period they're alive. These
are the Rotosounds I recommend: http://www.rotosound.com/RB45.gif / RB-45.
I have these Rotosound nickels in my Warwick:
http://www.rotosound.com/nickel66.gif / but I dont like them that much
The D'Addarios I had were awful. I also tried to Warwick red labels for fun, stay away from them

Since I have shit gear, I don't experiment with many types of strings..I normally use Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys.
Dean Markley Blue Steel's were by far the worse I've even bought...I ended up snapping them all within a very short time.
