double pedal trigger modual

Hey guys

I'm starting to get serious about my drumming big time after playing for about two years. My DW 7000 wern't cutting it for me at all. The pedals were playing me and I wasn't playing them.

So I just bought a used set of Axis pedals and for once the pedals feel like they are a part of my feet and legs.

I'm already able to play super fast with these pedals, so the problem is HEARING me play loud. So I'm looking into purchasing triggers.

I'm going to buy two EKITS, but I'm not sure on what "brain" and amp I should get.

I don't think I need some fancy modal since all I need is a few bass sounds to get the one we're looking for.

Would some cheap ass one such as this work good?:

Or should I put 100+ down and get a well made one..does it matter?

Finally, What type of amp should I use to power it all.. guitar amp?

Thanks a ton
Jon
