IMO Blood Red Throne's "Altered Genesis" is the heaviest fucking thing to come out in the last few years. Its fast as hell, has copious amounts headbanging riffs, and manages to be very catchy and memorable. Most death metal bands today focus way too much on the technical aspect of the genre (Decapitated manage to do it without losing too much in the way of songwriting), while forgetting that someitmes even metalhead musicians just wanna fucking headbang and feel like a ridiculously powerful beast while listening to their music. Altered Genesis provided that in spades for me.

I've been listening to a LOT of Catamenia these past few months...but I guess they don't fall under DM much.(fuck off timefagan haha)
I could never pick my favorite dm cd. But right now it may be Quo Vadis - Day Into Night.
