Slipknot! (God forgive me...)
I heard a Slipknot song the other day, almost by accident (boring story, unimportant)...
Anyway, it was called People are Shit or something like that and I'm assured it's off their latest album...
I think the song was pretty average (even me, the consummate non-guitarist wasn't impressed with the way it moved) but I had no idea that the goddamn band was so HEAVY.
I thought they were total lightweights.
Puzzled.

slipknot are heavy...a lot of people dislike them because they make theyre music "heavy" by tuning down like 6 steps or something and using occational rap and using dj's scribbling on a disk thing....

I'm not a big fan of their stuff, but they are really heavy, and actually are pretty damn good live, especially to mosh to.

is a trend.

eehh......they're okay if you're starting to get into heavy music......but if you've heard other good metal bands, they can be annoying then, imo.
1. they need a new guitarist(s). they're drummer and singer aren't bad though.
2. why do they have so many members? they have like 9 members, but when i listen to the song, the full potential of having a 9 member band isnt unleashed. if you listen to the song, you can tell that the same song could be accomplished by like a 4 or 5 piece band.
3. masks and makeup don't bother me really, i care about the music the most, and besides, it hides there probably ugly faces.

He did a drum solo live when I saw them...it was fantastic. Seriously.
The actual drummer behind the kit. The other two that just have one drum to bang on are stupid.

yeah, you'd think that the combined 3 drummers would come up with slick complicated technical drum passages, but they don't.
i actually saw the video for the song they did for the resident evil soundtrack ( i forgot the name of the song) and it's them playing the song live and i think i saw the "percussionist" actually sitting on his drum in a weird pose doing nothing. |

I did for a short time back when they only had one cd out...then I saw them live at the Pledge of Allegiance tour, but I only went to that to see System of a Down.

I liked slipknot way before they became trendy, (and also saw them live with - In flames) ,in there late MFKR years, Spit it out is sort of a fast/rap song, the vocalist is very fast and speedy on the vocalist if any slipknot song would have to be my favourate it would be Liberate or Scissors, but its just annoying that they have become a trendy band...which pissed me off...

and the last drummer was holding a drum stick up to his 1 foot crooked nose and hitting random drums...they mess up a lot, but it all sounds like noise so no one notices.....and im fuckin pissed that the one guitarist (w/ the b.c. rich american handcrafted warlock) can be 200 times crappir than me and still get his own custom american handcrafted warlock
