I dont usually listen to power metal. I love the guitar work in the music. infact most of the music is just genious. the only thing that turns me off of the whole genre is the vocals (Think vocals like Dragonforce) If there is such a thing as power metal with a different style of vocals...can anyone suggest some bands? thanks.

maybe Twilight Guardians... check out Twilight Guardians - search for grace...
the only song i have of this band, but maybe the rest is in the same style...

DEMONIAC!!!! Dragonforce guitars (literally, its Herman Li from Dragonforce) and rhaspy ass vocals. dont get their first album, the second is questionable, the third is THE FIRE AND THE WIND and its straight up power metal, minus the vocals, which are really really rhaspy.

Pharaoh, Firewind, Wolfcry, Mystic Prophecy, Nocturnal Rites, Tad Morose... these and many bands have "harshier" vocals.
