i'd say the 100, because it's 40 more than the 60.

Uh... you're still going to have to crank the 60W at wall-quaking volumes to get powertube saturation. 40W also wouldn't make that much of a volume difference right? I mean who cranks their amp volume past 11 o clock?

The difference is probably only in the poweramp, it's safe bet that they sound alike. I hear newer TSL's and DSL's have tons of reliablilty issues due to cheap manufacturing, you might want to look into older models or something.

Ive heard this as well. I was considering one until I read about said issues. Marshalls just aint' what they used to be.

Depends on what kind of sound you are going for.
Most people here will probably suggest an ENGL.

Ok that would be good to tell us in the first place. For brutal disortion at the lowest price I would look at a Peavey 5150.

Same here, then I figured I could get an Engl Fireball for even less. :P

Get a Fireball, or a 5150 or JSX if you want uglier distortion for brutal stuff, but the ENGL can do brutal DM and thrash exceptionally well. I don't suggest Engl cause I'm an elitist fanboy, I suggest it because I fucking own one.
