Buckethead style?

Alright, I wanna see if you guys would know.....What types of scales, patterns does Buckethead use on his lead styles? I've got down several of his scales and I've got much of the alternate picking style down, but on songs like Botnus, Whitewash, or basically any live song by him, when he goes absolutely berserk and just shreds, do any of you guys know what types of scales and shit he uses?

For example, at 1:42 or so in this video:

He's just rippin on the modes.

That first shred shape pattern was

e----5-7-8
B----5-7-8

then he just rips on modally.

I think it's important to learn scales so that you know them when you hear them. And you should really learn that the modes are just scales within scales. Then you won't go around asking what scale is which when it is the mode of one you already know well.

Last night I watched that Memoirs Of A Geisha. I pickep out the Japanese pentatonics on the samisen. They played Chinese at one point. Strange I thought...

most slower parts are pure minor (or the modes for the pure minor scale)
i think theres also some blues scale in there (not sure cuz i dont realy know that scale very well)

some fast parts and sweeping sound like harmonic minor to me

this is based on what i hear from 1:42 in the song u posted

Despite what anyone says about Buckethead (and his image/setup), he's one of the fastest, most creative guitar players of today.
