sorry about this off topic questions but, after you sand off the lacquer and paint, does anything happen to the wood if its left bare

yea well for 300, i would buy the guitar and finish off the sanding, then probably put some lacquer on the back of the neck or if i knew how to, a satin finish. but i dont have any money left
