For melodic death metal I like Insomnium, Early Children Of Bodom, At The Gates, New Kalmah, Norther, Opeth, and Skyfire. Although most might argue that some of these mentioned are not in fact melodic "death metal" probably due to the way the vocals sound.

Fuck yes, I got one of their CD's and it rips, too bad they're not together. Excellent Danish death metal, groovy at times.

Oh yeah andMORBID MOTHERFUCKING ANGEL(both old and new, always promise quality shit with plenty of variety to keep you entertained) and modern Behemoth(any of their last 4 albums = sex).

I'm also a big fan of VADER, even if their music is often repetetive, it consistently kicks ass. Go grab De Profundis, Revelations, Black to the Blind, and The Ultimate Incantation.

And of course Decapitated, but only get Nihility and Winds of Creation. The Negation had 3 or 4 decent songs but just was the beggining of the downhill for the band. My first death metal band, actually. Deicide were one of my first too, so go grab "Legion" and "Deicide". Obituary and Possessed are a good start too, as they defined the whole fucking genre. And though not really death metal until they hit the early 90's, Napalm Death are great.

Notice a trend in the Polish death metal scene? Yeah, it always kicks ass. :P

I'm also more of a thrash fan, but Death is the greatest band that ever was. Fro death metal, I'm all about Deicide (Serpents of the Light is recommended) and Dying Fetus (Stop at Nothing).

You know I haven't listened to it that much yet, but I liked what I heard 2 months ago. I'm a straight up oldschool Dismember fan, one of the first DM bands I got into. Their album "Death Metal", "Indecent and Obscene", and "Massive Killing Capacity" are fucking epics.

Well I tried to keep it more related to melodic death metal where some might argue their past singer (past albums) vox's have elements of black metal. Needless to say, Swampsong and Swamplord kick way more ass than The Black Waltz IMO.

I listened to Annhilation of the Wicked and it is great
It is a lot like how i play. Except im not that good
I have strong arabian influence

HOWEVER it was kinda slow, it was awesome but a little slow

BTW don't recommend any Satanic death metal like Deicide cuz it is all BS to me
