That is wrong..Borgir means Castle/fortress ...not city, because when the vikings left Norway and went to icelan they tok their language with them.
The old language changed in Norway and got influenced by german and english, but It never changed in Iceland.
Castle-Borg=Norwegian
Castle-Borgir=Icelandic
you english speaking guys have a word called DIM right?....that word is taken from the Icelandic/Viking language

Brujeria - witchcraft, black magic
Marduk - Babylonian sun god
Tuatha De Danann - the people of the Goddess Danu

True, but I did read somewhere that they named their band after a city in Germany that had some sort of catastrophe happen at an air show or something like that, I'm not sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It's a U.S. military base in Germany, or so I recall being told.

I don't think they put that much effort into the name. The probably put less than the minimum of effort imaginable into that name. I don't give Barnes much more credit than that.

About rammstein: You are correct. And yes, some time ago there was a rather big disaster at an air show there.
About Dimmu: CtD, I just hope you're being sarcastic as I was.....
Cannibal Corpse is a stupid name but I love it.
