Me, fucker!
T-Minus 5 Hours and 45 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do u look like, Thorns? I'll probably be wearing my "Leading the Rats" Morbid shirt and a denim jacket n' brown pants(it's what I've got on now), I'll be up front most of the time as close to the stage as I can.
Fucking Morbid! It will be my first time, already seen the other two. I'm excited about them as well but nowhere NEAR as much as Morbid!

Well I just got back from seeing Morbid Angel with Behemoth and Krisiun and all I can say is I'M THE HAPPIEST MOTHERFUCKER ON THE PLANET.
Krisiun played a meh setlist. Just boring and repetetive, is all, no variety whatsoever.
Behemoth played a KICKASS mid-long set list including many old classics they never play like "Pure Evil and Hate", "Summoning the Ancient Gods", and of course tracks like "Christians to the Lions", "Conquer All", "23(The Youth Manifesto)", "Decade of Therion", songs from ZKC and Demigod, etc.
Morbid Angel tore it up with a totally unexpected set. They played mandatory classics from Covenant and Altars, but surprisingly played "Fall From Grace" and "Day of Suffering". Also played "Dominate", "Where the Slime Live", "Dawn of the Angry", and plenty more from Altars. The performance was MOTHERFUCKING EXCELLENT. Vincent's voice has improved a LOT. Great sound quality considering how shitty the PA's are at that club. I'm surprised I remember any of this because I still have a little buzz from the half-vodka-half-energy drink I brought along. :P The encores were "God of Emptiness" and "World of Shit" with which they closed the night.
The GREATEST part of this is the fact that I stayed around and was able to talk to and take a picture with NERGAL from Behemoth, such a cool confident guy. He said something about seeing the band like seeing a mirror, seeing yourself in the band or something, I was too drunk to understand. Katla(soundguy) and Inferno(drummer) were drunk off their asses, Inferno was babbling some nonsense and later said "now go home and worship satan, kids" amidst some other drunken babbling. The only not so cool guy was Orion(bassist), but he's a Nazi anyway. :P
I stuck around for an additional hour and got to talk to Trey Azagthoth and Pete Sandoval from Morbid! Well not necessarily "talk" to Pete, because he was so drunk he could barely stand on his feet. He was trying to act serious and shit, lol, got him to autograph my copy of Altars of Madness. While he walked away I just felt like yelling "Arriba El Salvador"(where he's from) and he gave me the horns and smiled.
I talked to Trey quite a hefty bit, what a kickass dude. He has plans for playing newer songs(from Steve Tucker era) quite soon live, he told me he misses playing new shit, cause it's more technical and interesting to play. I also asked him about a new album and he said their working on ideas, keeping it fresh like always. I got a pic with him and he also autographed my CD. Then I went on to bestow him praise for 2 minutes and how much I feel their music. That's the kind of band that listens to their fans, fucking awesome. By the way, Trey played a Charvel Star and Warrior tonight, apart from his red Ironbird, he told me it's the first time he's brought them on tour.
Can't wait to take my disposable camera to the photo lab at my job. Today, I kid you not, was easily the greatest experience of my entire motherfucking life.

Yeah he wasn't too enthusiastic about signing stuff either. Nergal and Inferno came right up to talk to us, but Orion sort of avoided us. This Egyptian dude and someone else waited for like 10 minutes til they got him to sign a poster. Their soundguy, Katla, is the funniest mofo I've ever seen.

The only one I've ever met was Pandemonium... and that wasn't uncomfortable at all.
Soeru: Krisiun, "meh"!?! They blew the house off the dump (when I saw them friday) But yeah the Morbid Angel setlist was very good, better than I would have guessed. The dude tha was next to me took one of those papers off the PA in front of us

I went to the same show as Soeru, but i couldnt find you through all the masses of people. I will have to disagree with you about Krisiun. They were tight as fuck and played at brutal speeds. Exactly what MTM said, "they blew the house off the dump". Yeah and Morbid Angel was amazing, they almost played the whole entire altars of madness album, which is my favorite album of theirs besides domination. Behemoth was good(for the part that i was there), but they werent as exciting to watch as krisiun or MA IMO. I havent heard too much Behemoth so i went in and out for them. But that was definitely a fucking great, amazing & awesome concert. Dont forget to post some pics of the concert soeru.

Well don't get me wrong, I used to REALLY REALLY like Krisiun but I sort of got oversaturated with them. It's like I can guess what 90% of their riffs are going to be now. But in terms of performance, they gave it their all, definately. It's their music itself that no longer impresses me other than the fact that it's fast and brutal as fuck. I enjoyed Behemoth's performance more, they didn't get as good sound though, but the spirit of death metal is all that fucking matters. They closed with "Pure Evil and Hate", a fucking awesome old thrasher that I like, they never played many of those songs for a US audience he said. I would go to SOTU just for them, but I'll pass cause there's way too many crappy bands on that tour to bother paying for it. Well, get to see Necrophagist and Arsis NEXT MONTH FUCKERS.
Inferno is one funny-ass guy. Behemoth brought some hooker onboard their tourbus, that was interesting. :P
Trey is small as fuck, must wheigh no more than 70 lb. :P He said he's working on new ideas so that should be very interesting. Pete is a total fucking burnout, I've never seen him talk seriously on an interview, and he's quite like that in person, lol. Too many years of hard drugs, at least his playing isn't affected though.
There was a dude that looked A HELL OF A LOT like Derek Boyer, and Inferno screamed his name(Derek) before some more drunken babbling and screaming of Satan's name. They went onboard the bus with the hooker. I dunno if it was him or not, but there's a good chance.
I'll pick up the photos later today.

Show in Toronto just rocked last night. Old ass playlist! Vincent sounded excellent all night. He was getting the crowd going pretty good. Immortal rights and the chapel of ghouls, Dave was doing some cool vocals. Who is the other guitar player with MA?
I got to see all four bands. The first one, despised something, sounded like a mix of punk meets pantera. They had two vocalists dancing around like a rap show. I didn’t get it.
Krisiun, for a 3 piece, sounded really good. They play super fast. The lead player has got some lightning hands, no doubt. They really appreciated us fans and played their hearts out. It’s the only way!
Behemoth played an excellent show. This is my second time seeing them within a year. Great stage presence. The singer reminds me of the guy from ‘Coroner’. Anyways, he got the crowd involved really well. He is a really good performer, he’s got the show down cold. He was really enjoyable to watch and a real promoter of metal. “it’s about channeling the energy”!!!
MA, what can I say? They rule with Vincent as the frontman. All the songs that were played are ‘vincent’ era. Has he not yet learned the new stuff? Will tucker give him some free lessons?
Crowd was nuts. Crowd surfing all night. There was a serious ‘slime pit’ for moshing morons. Some dude jumped off a 15’ speaker onto the crowd near the end and landed on some guys head, who had to leave due to injury!
For the pain in the ass it is to cross the border, we really appreciate those guys coming over and putting on the most balls out metal show this area has seen in a long time.
I got to talk to Trey and got a photo with him. Yeah, he asked us about the setlist. We all told him that it was sick. He did mention that he wanted to get to the new stuff, as previously stated. Gear wise, it looked like he had a JCM series head, couldn’t see the cab, and he had his red BC Rich Ironbird (instagib) a Charvel (looked like a Southern Cross body) and a blue Jackson (with a bc rich stealth body). Man, that guy loves he whammy bar!
All in all, damn good show.
