I say awesome. Lot of improvements. But you gotta change alot of stuff you made in GP4... you'll find out what I mean.

The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.

I think GP5 is pretty decent. The real sound stuff isn't all that good on some songs, but it's works on a few pretty well. I think the layout of GP is muuuuch better than PT too. It's good that you can import PT's to GP5 also, but it getsthe timing wrong sometimes. Overall I think GP5 is great

Otiz, what kind of changes have you had to make between GP4 and GP5? I haven't noticed any yet when I try them in GP5. Like I said, the RSE drums are the only drawback I've noticed so far. Well, that and the clipping. I've got 512 of RAM, so I don't think that's the problem, but the RSE CPU in the bottom goes red whenever it goes over about 60. That's when the clipping and static occurs. And that's with only two guitar, one bass, and one drum track.

I had to make a ton of dynamic changes, not to mention PM actually works now so I had to put in loads of that.

Yeah, I agree, the drums sounds like shit, or maybe too low on volume. To update from gp4 to gp5 you need to specify now the palm mutes. Palm mutes on MIDI are not necessary but now with the RES of gp5 you need to put them.
I agree with Adrian_15, PowerTab is a shit... PT has just one thing better than GP, the 'export to ASCII'. With PT you can export all the tracks (instruments) in the same ASCII file, in GP you can only export one track per file.

gp5 is total shit, RSE eventually actually lags tracks when multiple ones are playing together so that one track could be a minute into the song, while another is 2 seconds ahead/behind. At least that's how it is on my computer. Also there's way too much bass on everything. Keyboards were almost inaudible when I converted one song from gp4 to gp5. The only upgrades i realy noticed was a little effects thing (wah pedal) and scrolling. Good job gp5. Wee.
