Yeah, I agree, the live solo's on the live shit binge and purge (or something like that) video where pretty neat, but still it sounded a bit more like guitar shit played on a guitar, Cliff allways kept the funky-ness of the bass in it in a way.

About 25, they're releasing their next one soon. They are original proggy kind of metal/rock. If you get some of their albums get the earlier stuff such as '2112', 'Permanent waves', 'Moving pictures' and 'All the Worlds a Stage' is a cool live album. Some of their stuff is dodgy so you may not like it but keep listening and if all goes well you'll have a new bassist to look up to

Well they've been around for some time and they are still winning awards to this day. Their first album was 'Rush' and that was released in 1974. And as far as I can see from what albums I have here, they're on PolyGram records. Check out their site, all details are on there:

Okay some of those dont have awesome bass but all bass in rush is good and Yyz and Marathon at least have some tricky parts to learn

if you listen very closely to the bassline for jimi hendrix - fire you will really that it was one of the greatest bass riffs you have heard or ever will hear.
