opeth - ghost reveries - i really enjoyed this album, the mellow stuff blows my fuckin mind, the heavy stuff is heavy, and the keyboards make me a happy camper
dark tranquillity - character - heavy shit, melodic, good vocals, imo, their best yet.
porcupine tree - deadwing - absolutely amazing, especially the song mellowtron scratch. i really dig his voice, and guitar playing.
meshuggah - catch 33 - killer, i love how striped down this album is, and how the riffs go on for days, killer shit.
avenged sevenfold - city of evil - i liked the band already, but i gained a new found respect for them after this album, killer guitar work, the vocals have an unusual sound, but i like them.
gorillaz - demon days - i love this group, i love this album, it fuckin rocks.
coheed and cambria - good apollo - the name is long as fuck, but the album still slays, his vocals have improved alot since keeping secrets, which is nice, and the guitar work is awesome.
dredg - catch without arms - i fell in love with the track "bug eyes" while cleaning after Stealth, it was the second to last song on the credits. great album.
extol - the blueprint dives - i couldnt get enough of pearl when i heard it, i love their style, really unique.
trivium - ascendancy - good guitar work, good sung vox, killer album
their are prolly more, but thats all for now

I've only really bought one cd this year, bring me the horizon....decent band if you like stuff like converge/DEP with a much clearer sound...
