Vocals are just as big a part of music as a guitar. One day you'll learn to appreciate vocal melodies.. until then have fun listening to monotone screaming and growling.

hmm. i love norther's vocals! along with In flames(old), Death, and i think fear factory has great vocals ESPECIALLY on demanufacture. Burton sings good i think. while we're on the subject, my FAVORITE vocals are either mithotyn's on "king of the distant forest", or all Summoning vocals, they are so soothing.
But i really dont like Burzum, six feet under, immolation, or slayers vocals. and i hate metallicas new vocals as much as the new sound.
Glad to see that wintersun in there!!!!!

well, yeah. not even when they first started. his best vocals in terms of power are without a doubt on the black album and garage inc...thats when his voice was "best" but its pretty awesome on master of puppets.

And Jamey Jasta is the most one-dimensional vocalist & lyricist I've ever heard....though credibilities as to whether people will call them metal is another matter.
I used to Hate Lord Worm, but i've cooled off that now.
Anyway, decent vocals - (if any of you can get your hands on these) - include;
Iron Monkey, Labrat, Matter, thekevorkiansolution, narcosis, Tangaroa, Mistress, killwhitneydead.
