alright, so i've been making a lot of threads lately, but they're all turning into great discussions, so i thought id try my hand at another. we all know there's a lot of metal bands out there, and sometimes you dont even know when a band releases a new album. so this thread is going to be a list of whos releasing what,and when. ill keep updating this main post with suggestions from you all

for now, lets try to avoid the "coming sometime 2006" albums because theres enough finite information out there we can avoid the general stuff untill its certain.

Cryptopsy and Athiest will be sweet. Hmm what else...new Slayer would be nice as well but I haven't heard shit on that in such a long time...

Jon didn't write any of the Cryptopsy album. From what I've heard from promo reviewers, Alex's riffs are supposed to be crazy. He's been in Cryptopsy over five years damnit, you'd think he'd know how to write a riff or two by now.

What I hear of the new Slayer it may be some time away, they hope to start recording in September. Kerry and Dave have about 10 songs that they've demoed since last year and they have written some more since, plus Jeff and Tom's efforts. But Dave has done a tour with the Fantomas in Japan so that may have held things up?

I hear a new Celtic Frost album is in the pipe line!
Has any one heard anything about the Death tribute album put together by James Murphy and CKY??

Wintersun recordings for 2nd album starts in May 2006

We have booked studios to record the second Wintersun album. The recordings will start in May 2006 at Sonic Pump Studios with Nino Laurenne. The mixing will happen in the beginning of July. There´s still work that needs to be done with the songs, but I´m sure we´ll get there. I believe that this will be a very strong album and I´m very excited about it! The working title for the album is "Time".
