Whoo hoo! Bob was in his first competition today and won for bench pressing in his weight class. He did 340 pounds and just missed 370. I know what's going on his mantle tonight. His first trophy.

Nah not for the Olympics just 1279 total on bench, squat and deads which is probably a little high. 1200 is more realistic at this point. |

I've pretty much stopped doing weightlifting, I'm a 165 lb twig now. I can do 10 mile runs and carry an 80 lb pack for miles though. Also, shitloads of push-ups, pull-ups, etc.

I actually have a gym membership now. I will always be very twig-like, but I'm just using it to stay in/get in better shape. I want to maintain the muscle mass I have, maybe build it up a little, and do a bunch of cardio to make my heart proud. Eventually it would be nice to be a cardio freak who can do crazy hikes and runs without pain.

It does suck. I have a recurring injury in my left wrist and I've taken to wrap it up in bandage even when it's not that bad, because if I don't I'll be a moron and start training before it's healed. Guess it's true you can get hooked on endorphins or whatever the hell it is.

Endorphins sounds about right. After exercise I have felt anywhere from great to absolutely horrid, though.

Hmm, I've never felt bad after, I have felt really bad during exercise though.
Today I got stung by bees on my ankles about 15 times total, I'm not even allergic and I feel sick as fuck, and now I really can barely walk. I went to the doctors and they looked at me like I was a giant vagina. |

How the fuck did you get stung 15 times in your ankle? I can see that making one sick, that's a lot of venom (its venom, right? poison has to be ingested?).
My girlfriend has been doing volunteer work with bee keepers. I don't know why but it seems pretty cool. She said they literally picked up a fresh honeycomb rack-thing, brushed off the bees, poked it, and let the fresh honey drip onto bread to eat.
